University adaptive reuse project
Turin, Italy
Turin, Italy
The OGM - Officine Grandi Motori - is an abandoned industrial
complex located in the Aurora district of Turin.
The neighborhood does not have a central square, social life revolves
around the market of Porta Palazzo, on the south side,
and suffers from a lack of greenery, public
and recreational spaces: 14% of the total surface area,
compared to a city average of 16.5%.
PROJECT LAYOUT
The project involves the integration of services
for local communities - markets, shops, gathering places -
and services aimed at the entire city
- event spaces, restaurants , sports center and park -
in an attempt to create a new hub in the Aurora neighborhood,
which attracts residents and non-residents.
